Movie Mania!

Just came back home after watching a special screening of the movie Hotel Rwanda at Studio-5. The movie was brilliant and worth a number of watches! Its not often that one sees movies with simple stories such as these so brilliantly executed. I was extremely happy with the fact that I rounded of my last 100 movies with this one!

As for Sathyam, the usual celebrity fest continued with Shalini, Richard, director Vishnuvaradhan(Arindum Ariyamalum), and a few other not-so-well-known celebs coming to watch the movie. We even got to speak to Swaroop Reddy,a member of the Sathyam family, to complain about the poor sound quality in this particular movie.

  • Is this ur order of preference or just the order u watched them in?

Hmm Amadeus was good as a movie but did u know it is very controversial cos most historians dont agree with the story line and say the jealousy between the lead men was purely fabricated.

  • Hey very interesting.....I am a movie buff too and its pretty amazing that a lot of movies you like I like too.....
check these movies out though...maybe you can add them to your movie arsenal:P:
For animation: 1. Spirited Away by the master Hayao Miyazaki(BTW this movie got the oscar for best animated feature in 2003:))
    2. Princess Mononoke Again by Miyazaki and Niel Gaiman.
What surprised me about these movies that you forget that its animation...the story is anything but predictable and it takes differnt almost unexpected turns!
Also check out "Matchpoint" by Woody Allen and "Munich" by Steven Speilberg.......Eric Bana has done a fantastic job in the latter...and the movie was very thought provoking...very.
so check them out and I hope you like them fellow movie buff!
