BLOG-SQUASHED!!
Why have various forms of media and journalism always been taken on a toss by governments, politicians and other influential and often hypocritical corporate bodies?
The latest story in contention is the ongoing tussle between three prominent bloggers and the self-glorified management institute IIPM run by the pompous Arindam Chaudhuri. The bloggers who have been targeted are Rashmi Bansal, Gaurav Sabnis and Varna. They have been served with legal notices(or so they say), threatening a lawsuit unless their blog posts questioning IIPM's credentials and integrity, were removed permanently! And the laughable part is that these very legal notices were sent illegally by e-mail!!
The only thing that the bloggers did was conduct background investigations into its tall claims and offer their perspectives on the institute. This, in principle, is very similar to a technology portal or magazine reviewing a product or service and listing out its pro's and con's. Now, can the company which owns the product sue the website or magazine for publishing their perspective on what's wrong and what's right? Or does the company attempt to reimburse the entire R&D cost by filing lawsuits, defamation and libel cases against the reviewers??
After all the ruckus, when IIPM's dean was asked about the whole controversy, he seemed to be oblivious of such an incident! Looking at the outburst from the blogging community,I'm pretty sure IIPM will retract all it's childish claims and try to redeem it's lost pride and status as a respectable institution capable of mature beahviour. If they choose otherwise, then they would do it at their own peril!

he he he he he....those pricks from iipm have no idea wat they're in for are they? im pretty sure they'll notice all this bloggin happenin about them and withdraw those so called legal notices....otherwise its blogger power for them!!!!
