Well...its gonna be yet another long break from blogging. The place at which i'm gonna be away for training doesn't have access to computers, so its not possible to blog. So until then, ciao!
Got to hear an interesting story today about how the Japanese cultivate worms for edible purposes. They are supposed to be a delicacy there and the Japanese simply love 'em! This story was told by the CEO of a leading Japanese pharmaceutical company to a person I know.
Basic requirements:
A pig the size of a cow. A closed space or enclosure. Lots of mud.
Procedure:
1.The pig is slaughtered and is buried inside the mud which has already been placed inside the confined space.
2.Now this carcass is allowed to decompose thereby allowing germs to act upon it and completely degenerate it.
3. Once all the flesh and other parts of the carcass are done, the germs have nothing else to do. So they start cannibalising on themselves and slowly become round and juicy worms.
4.The cycle keeps on continuing until all the worms have eaten one another and there's just one HUMONGOUS worm left behind! The Japanese neatly remove this worm, slice it up, and relish upon it.
They claim that that particular worm contains the energy and nutrition of an entire pig!! They say they gain all the energy at almost nil fat! Well, what more do I say...
